The Dynamic Rhythms In Our Hormonal Symphony WIP

The hormonal symphony in the body is the instruments playing their role in keeping the body in sync by producing energy, supporting brain health, and other body systems. An orchestra is made of instruments with different roles, rhythms, sounds, and volumes. When the instruments are tuned and playing well, there is a steady and energized sound.

However, when one section starts playing off‑beat or too loudly, the entire symphony is off. Perhaps it’s our stress hormone (cortisol) getting too loud, or thyroid slowing its tempo (a metabolism regulator). Over time, symptoms arise, such as mood swings, lower energy, disrupted sleep, increased food cravings, changes in your menstrual cycles, or weight gain. We owe it to our bodies to recognize these symptoms as messages and learn what they mean. Knowing is the beginning of taking action.

For women, ages 35+, the hormonal symphony might bring awareness of “the change”. While the change is inevitable, you can become informed about what is happening and the long-term impacts. You can become the conductor of this symphony.

Working with your physician to understand where you are in this transition is a great starting point.

Consider collaborating with a lifestyle and wellness coach to create a plan that builds new habits and sustainable outcomes. Conducting your hormonal symphony on your terms through nutrition, rest, movement, emotional regulation, and community connection can help your body create music that feels like you again.
